Hikes For hikers of intermediate ability, all within about a 2-hour drive of Lake Oswego. Hikers leave at 8 am (earlier meeting times noted) from City of Lake Oswego, West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way. Park in lower parking lot, behind building, off Kruse Way Place. New participants arrive 15 minutes early. Return time depends on hike and drive.
Thursday Rambles For this season only, hikes and rambles are combined. On the more strenuous hikes, leaders are accommodating Ramblers by offering a concurrent ramble on the same trail, but at a slower pace and shorter distance. Leaves at approx. 8:30 am.
What to Bring Daypack containing lunch, sufficient water, sun protection, trail snacks, rain gear, extra clothing and personal items such as sunglasses, insect repellent, first aid kit, compact space blanket, whistle and flashlight. Ticks and poison oak may be prevalent.
Clothing Wear clothes suitable for the weather and sturdy, waterproof, lug-soled walking shoes or boots. Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are recommended.
Car Pooling & Fees Arranged among participants. Driver donation noted with each hike; bridge tolls shared by all. All mileage shown is roundtrip. $1 fee payable at hike.
Info Hikes/rambles are not canceled due to rain. Leaders may change hike location due to hazardous driving or hiking conditions. Leaders may refuse to take anyone not properly equipped or who is judged incapable of making a specific trip. Participants accept responsibility for personal safety. No pets permitted.
Park Pass Northwest Forest Park Pass (NWFP) may be required for each vehicle at selected trailheads in National Forests. Drivers are responsible for obtaining passes prior to hike. State Park Pass (SPP) available at trailhead.
