Leader: Ron Wyatt. 10 mi. 2000 ft. On the south side of Mount St. Helens, hike the June Lake Trail to the lake and then the Lowitt Trail to a view of the Muddy River Lahar. Includes forests, a tree-lined lake, waterfall, large boulders, basalt cliffs, lava flows, ash, & panoramic views. Rugged mountain trails, so good boots and poles are recommended.
