Leader: Susan Saul. 8.2 mi. 1700 ft+. Hike southern slope of Mount St. Helens above timberline. Sweeping views as we climb from Red Rock Pass via Butte Camp Trail to Loowit Trail then east to Ptarmigan Trail and down to Climbers’ Bivouac. Car shuttle. Drive 160 mi. 2nd pickup 8:00a JBC. ($16/$14) NWFP required.
