Leader: Amy Monahan. 4 mi. 250 ft_. Guest historians, Jo Naylor & Susanna Kuo, guide us on an 1867 wagon road, the Iron Mountain Trail, past old iron mines and into the forested canyon of Tryon Creek where charcoal burners made fuel for the iron furnace. No 2nd pickup.
