MOUNT ADAMS:  Shorthorn Trail to Around the Mountain Trail

Leader: Michele Thompson. EARLY LEAVE:  7:30am

10-12miles (your option), 1600' elevation gain. Close-up views of Mt. Adams, distant views of Mt. Hood and panoramic views of The Dalles and Trout Lake Valley.  Our goal is Looking Glass Lake which we haven't visited since August 2000.  Lots of Asters, paintbrush and fall color. Bring poles for some rocky trail sections and several stream crossings that are much easier in the Fall!  We wil be at 6200' on Mt. Adams. Dress accordingly!  Long drive and long hike mean getting home later, even with an earlier start. Plan accordingly!
