When will the next registration begin?
Fall 2013 registration begins at 10am August 12. Catalogs are due to be delivered to homes and businesses on or before August 10. Lake Oswego residents receive priority placement until August 16. Residents know immediately upon registering whether or not they are accepted into a class or placed on a wait list. Non-Resident registrations are accepted, but held on separate wait lists until August 16 when the wait lists are processed on a first-registered basis. Notification of final class/wait list status is mailed to Non-Residents August 16. After Non-Resident wait lists have been processed, registration is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. You may register by Internet, mail, drop off, or fax.

Internet-Most classes are available for registration on the Internet. To view a listing of our classes by department go to our
Class Index. If you need computer access, you may use computers at the Library, 706 4th St., at the Parks & Recreation Department at the West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm), or at the registration kiosk at the Lake Oswego Golf Course.

Drop Off - Bring your completed registration during business hours to any of the following:

  • Parks & Recreation at the West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm).
  • Golf Course
  • Adult Community Center

Fax - Complete the registration form and fax it to 503-697-6579 with full payment using your Visa or MasterCard.

Phone - Have your registration form completed with Visa or MasterCard information and phone 503-675-2549. Due to the high volume of calls, you may prefer to use another option.

Your receipt is confirmation of enrollment and is mailed to you upon completion of your phone, fax or mail-in registration. If you register online, you may print your confirmation directly from your computer screen.

How do I register for classes online?

  1. Go to our Class Index
  2. Browse the online catalog or search by:
    Keyword Location Age of Participant Class Dates
  3. When you've found the class you want, add it to your shopping basket.
  4. When you have finished browsing, purchase the classes in your shopping basket with your credit card through a secure connection.

As soon as you have completed your online registration, print your receipt. A confirmation will be e-mailed to you.

How do I transfer to a new class?
If you would like to request a transfer, please call our registrar at 503-675-2549. Class transfers may not be done online. Provided there is room in the class you want to transfer into and you have notified us at least three working days prior to the start of the class you wish to transfer out of, we will credit your account and enroll you in your new choice.

How do I get a refund or a credit to use for another class?
For a refund, you must notify the Parks & Recreation office at least three business days prior to the first class. A $5 processing fee is charged for each canceled class. In lieu of a refund, you may request a credit and the $5 fee will be waived. All credits are non-refundable once issued and must be used prior to the end of the fiscal year.

What price do I pay if two different prices are listed?
The first price listed is for Lake Oswego residents. A resident is: - An individual who rents or owns property inside the incorporated city limits of Lake Oswego - An individual who lives within the LO School District boundaries - An individual who owns a business inside the incorporated city limits of Lake Oswego - EXCEPTION: Sports Leagues will additionally consider individuals employed within the incorporated city limits of Lake Oswego or within Lake Oswego School District boundaries as residents. The second price listed is for non-residents. The fee for non-residents may be up to 1.5 times the resident rate. Some classes (golf, rowing) charge a Fee which is applicable to both residents and non-residents. Registrations from non-residents are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis after the resident enrollment period. Lake Oswego residents receive priority placement for all classes and waiting lists during the first business week of each registration term.

How do I contact the department with questions or concerns?
We encourage you to talk directly to the program coordinator or the instructor of the class. These individuals are usually the most knowledgeable about the classes and are best able to provide you with a resolution to a specific problem.

How do I check on class availability?
When you register for a class online, you will know once you pay if you are in the class or wait-listed. Your e-mail confirmation and the receipt you can print on-line also indicate your status. Our registrar monitors the class' waiting lists. If there is room available in a class, those people on the wait list will be contacted in order and enrolled on a "first-registered" basis.

*Note: When registering online, if the class you have chosen is full, you still must pay for the class in order to be placed on the waiting list. Refunds and credit vouchers will be issued to those people who have paid for, but do not get in the class.

How do I get my name on the waiting list?
You must register and pay for the class to be placed on that class' waiting list. Refunds or credit vouchers will be issued to those people placed on the waiting list who have paid, but are unable to get into a class.

At what age am I eligible to join the Adult Community Center?
Membership is available to those 50 and older. Contact the ACC at 503-635-3758 for more information. Most classes, activities and the fabulous trips are available to members only, so call the ACC to join today! Annual membership is a suggested donation of $40 per single, $55 per couple for LO Residents and a membership fee of $50 per single, $75 per couple for Non-Residents.
